The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (hereafter “The Fund”) was established by the Environmental
Investment Fund of Namibia Act, 2001 (Act No. 13 of 2001). The Fund is a statutory entity outside the public
service with distinct and separate roles and functions distinct from any government body or entity. The Fund is
an investment institution set up under Namibian law to provide sources of funding for environmentally sound
development in Namibia and to do so in a manner that complements programmes and actions of both public and
private sectors.
